Quick and easy Indian steamed spinach recipe

I have a few things to say about the recipe that I’m going to share with you today.First, its spinach, which almost everyone loves in many forms. Secondly, its a rich source of nutrients. Remember Popeye? He opens a can of spinach and pours it into his mouth, whenever his girlfriend is in trouble. And third, for something that is packed with nutrients, this spicy steamed spinach is really delicious. The spinach is cooked with onions and chillies, then mashed and combined with ground coconut, and finished off with a drizzle of good coconut oil.So grab a bag of fresh baby spinach, and I will show you how to make this tasty vegetarian side dish, that will give you big forearms, and help you fight bad guys!

You will need the following ingredients:

Fresh baby spinach / Mulagu cheerai (Tamil)11 cups

Chopped red onions1 1/2 cups

Chopped green chillies2 tablespoons

Turmeric powder1/2 teaspoon

Ground coconut1 cup

Coconut oil2 tablespoons (Optional)

Stir, and close the lid. Pressure cook, for about 10 minutes, or until the spinach has shrunk down…Mash the spinach with a masher, and add the fresh ground coconut. Stir to combine.

Drizzle some coconut oil, stir, and its ready! Best when eaten with sweet curd rice.
