This one’s from my mother in law. Warm, soft parathas stuffed with a meaty, juicy, spicy filling that’s so so good!
Its really easy, delicious, and perfect for a weeknight meal. This version here is a simple. The beef mixture is a personal thing, its all to your taste, you can keep it simple, or make it more complex, make it more spicy, or a little bit more tangy…you know the more and more you cook, you’ll just know. So, step into the kitchen, get your ingredients ready, and start cookin’!
You will need the following ingredients:
For the paratha:
Wheat flour–1 cup
For the stuffing:
Lean ground beef–2 kg
Thick yogurt–4 tablespoons
Turmeric powder–1 teaspoon
Chopped/Minced garlic–1 1/2 tablespoons
Chopped/Minced ginger– 1 tablespoon
Chopped onions–1 cup
Chopped green chillies–1 tablespoon
Coriander powder–1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder–1/2 teaspoon
Cumin powder–1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala–1/4 teaspoon
Freshly chopped coriander leaves/cilantro–a handful
Salt To taste
I’d been heating a nonstick tawa over med-high heat the whole time I was getting the beef mixture ready, so by the time I added a little oil, it was nice and hot. Now, put the paratha on the tawa, and let the paratha cook for about a minute or 2 on each side.
And its done! A perfect dish that satisfies my carnivorous palate…try it out and I’m sure you will love it too!
