I’m Srilakshmi Nair. You can call me Sri. I was born and bred in kerala, India. I’m a wife to a wonderful man, and a mother to a sweet little boy. I love food, cooking and I love to eat. I’ve always had a passion for food, but I’ve only realized that I love the art of cooking a few months before I got married, and made the popular classic Indian dish- murgh makhani /butter chicken. I realized that food is not just a fuel. Its something that has to be enjoyed or savored. Its an experience. To me, food has to be fresh, simple, and all natural. I love food from all over the world, and i try to look at the world from a point of view of a person who is obsessed about food, and i’m always interested in what’s cooking anywhere i go, the flavor profiles of each region that i go to, i find value in watching people cook, learning about different cuisines, and writing about my food experience. !
The reason i made this blog, is to meet with other food fanatics like me, all the talented cooks out there, who share the same passion as i do. This blog is my humble attempt at sharing everything I love and learned about food. I have a collection of tried and tested recipes, which are either from my mother-in-law, mother, or me. I love and respect both of those women. They are excellent cooks, and even though they do the family laundry, ironing, cleaning of the house etc., everyday in some mysterious way three or four delicious meals come into existence on the dining table…I really don’t know how they do it…
The recipes in my blog are developed, and tried in my kitchen and perfected to my taste. Please use your discretion when adding or taking away ingredients, and please use a conversion tool to convert the measurements I have given. I take my recipes very seriously, but your taste may or may not be different from mine. I also believe in giving credit where credit is due, so if i like one of your recipes and want to post it in my blog, i will link it back to your blog, and i would like you to do the same. If you copy somebody else’s idea, or work, and don’t give them credit, then you probably shouldn’t blog in my opinion.
Don’t worry, i’m a nice person, really. I just don’t like plagiarism is all. If you like my recipes, do try them out, and let me know how it turned out. It will mean a lot to me.I am looking forward to meet wonderful people I would love to hear from you. I hope you’ll like my humble space, and thank you for allowing me to share!
